This summer, Jubilee Project hosted a fellowship program inviting 13 filmmakers to live together and produce a short film in 10 days. They produced three short films that inspire change. This is Alstroemeria. Learn more about the fellowship here: www.jubileeproject.org/fellowship

Reunited with his kidnapped daughter after 10 years, a father must learn how to rebuild his relationship with her while battling the demons in his own life. Through their struggle, they find that healing is only possible when they find the vulnerability and courage to face the brokenness within.

This film was inspired by the true story of the kidnapping of 11 year old Jaycee Lee Dugard and other kidnap victims. While the media often covers the disappearance and discovery of abducted victims, its perspective is incomplete as most people don't realize the intense emotional and mental process victims and their families must go through to reintegrate into society. We hope our film will be able to spark discussion and awareness on this issue. We also hope this film empowers anyone who is facing dark times in their life to find the strength to keep moving forward.

This film was produced as part of the 2013 Jubilee Project Fellowship. JP fellows were tasked with writing, directing and editing films that inspire change, all within 10 days.
